Father’s Day at Izakaya Miyazaki
父の日コース
Sunday 6 September, lunch from 12pm and dinner from 5:30pm.
Some fathers are difficult to buy for. Most are easier to feed. In the heart of Melbourne's CBD, a single lantern on Russell Street marks a stairway down into Izakaya Miyazaki — no dining room at street level, just the lantern and the quiet below it.
Our Father's Day $138 set menu opens with a house beer, poured the moment you sit down. Sashimi selected by the chef that morning. Miyazaki wagyu tataki, barely touched by heat. Foie gras on brioche. Yakitori from the charcoal — negima and tsukune. Then an M9 premium steak, grilled over coals and served with seasonal vegetables, rice and miso soup. Matcha panna cotta to close.
Book the main floor or take one of our six private rooms — they seat from two guests up to twelve, and every private room booking includes a complimentary kimono fitting. Walk-ins are welcome, though Father's Day fills quickly.
