Drinks List
There's a moment in every good evening when someone says shall we have one more? Our list was built for that moment — and it runs to thirty-six pages.
Japanese whisky poured by the glass, not saved for the bottle. Sake gathered from a dozen prefectures. Cocktails built on yuzu, sakura and hojicha. And non-alcoholic drinks made with real care, so nobody at the table is left holding a lemonade.

Signature Cocktails & Mocktails
Japanese Whisky
ジャパニーズウイスキー
Japanese whisky has become hard to find and harder still to justify by the bottle. So we pour it by the glass.
Hibiki Harmony for its softness. Hakushu 12 for that faint breath of smoke. Nikka From The Barrel if you like a whisky with some weight behind it. There're the Akashi White Oak Toji Blend and Fuji Single Grain as well — and Woodford Reserve, bourbon and rye, for anyone who'd rather stay in Kentucky.
Not sure where to begin? Tell us what you usually drink. We'll pour you something close to it, then something braver.
And if you'd rather have your whisky in a cocktail, Takibi 焚火(たきび) was made for exactly that — Hojicha and grapefruit bitters over Nikka From The Barrel, or over Hibiki Harmony when the evening deserves it.
And the Sake
日本酒
Sake is the heart of any izakaya, and ours runs more than a hundred deep — crisp Junmai, Daiginjo polished until it's nearly translucent, and bottles from Juyondai, Jikon and Aramasa that rarely leave Japan at all.
It's a list built to welcome someone on their first glass and still surprise someone on their thousandth.

Beer, Wine & Shochu
ビール・ワイン・焼酎
Some nights you just want a cold beer. Asahi Super Dry, Sapporo Premium, Kirin Ichiban — and our own Miyazaki Pale Ale, which holds its own against charcoal and salt.
The wine list moves from sparkling and moscato through crisp Australian and New Zealand whites into shiraz and pinot noir, with a few from further afield — a Chianti from Principe Corsini, a Rosso di Valtellina from Ar.Pe.Pe. A handful are bottled for us alone; you'll find them listed as Special for Izakaya Miyazaki.
And for anyone who wants to go further in: imo shochu from Hamada Shuzo, plum umeshu , yuzu liqueur, and a liqueur made with Uji green tea to close the night.
Not Drinking Tonight?
ノンアルコール
A night without alcohol shouldn't mean a night of lemonade.
We pour the full range from NON, a Melbourne producer who builds drinks the way a kitchen builds a dish — whole raspberries, chamomile, Murray River salt, and verjus pressed from unripe grapes. This isn't wine with the alcohol taken out. It's made to be enjoyed in its own right, and it holds its own beside charcoal and soy. Try the salted raspberry with chamomile, the caramelised pear and kombu, or the stewed cherry with coffee.
Beyond those there's a lychee and raspberry soda we make in-house, Japanese ciders in yuzu, peach and mango, chilled Calpis, and ocha served warm or cold.
Our signature mocktails — Rouge Citrus, Verdant and Jade Lagoon — are further up this page.
Bring everyone. No one at your table will be left holding something they didn't really want.
We take walk-ins, so you're always welcome to simply come down the stairs and see what we're pouring. If you'd rather be certain of a table, book with us here.
